Nha Trang driver praised after emergency trip to hospital
Lê Quang Tùng, a service driver in Nha Trang, has received widespread public praise after issuing a social media apology for his driving behavior during an emergency medical trip.
On the evening of September 26, Tùng was transporting a father and his young son from the Phú Nông area to Khánh Hòa General Hospital. During the journey, near the Ngọc Hội overpass, the child began showing signs of severe distress, including heavy breathing and losing consciousness due to a high fever. In response to the life-threatening situation, Tùng activated his vehicle's hazard lights and drove at high speeds, requesting other motorists to yield so he could reach the hospital quickly.
Following the emergency, Tùng expressed concern that his rapid driving and maneuvering might have inconvenienced or pressured other drivers, potentially leading to traffic fines. He posted a sincere apology online to address these concerns. The community has responded with significant sympathy and admiration for his decisive and humanitarian actions. The child's father, Đoàn Hữu Nghị, expressed his gratitude, noting that Tùng also assisted the family in getting the child to the reception area and waived the service fee for the trip.
