Nha Trang house fire results in two fatalities
Two women, aged 74 and 42, died following a fire at a four-story house in the An Binh Tan urban area of Nha Trang. The fire broke out around noon on September 2, starting on the second floor of the building.
Emergency responders rescued the victims and transported them to Khanh Hoa General Hospital. Medical staff performed resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions and intubation, briefly restoring their heartbeats. However, both victims succumbed to injuries caused by carbon monoxide inhalation and second-degree burns. The 74-year-old victim had a history of stroke.
Local authorities have provided 50 million VND in support to the grieving family. Firefighting forces extinguished the blaze by approximately 1:00 PM on the same day. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
