Nha Trang police resolve viral traffic collision involving kneeling woman

Nha Trang Ward Police have concluded their investigation into a viral video showing an elderly woman kneeling in the street to plead with a car driver following a traffic collision. The incident occurred around 5:30 AM on August 22 at the intersection of Nguyen Trai and Le Dai Hanh in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa province.

The driver, identified as 36-year-old T. N. H. V., stated that the collision involved a woman riding a motorbike carrying water. According to Mr. V., he questioned why the woman was driving fast in the opposite direction, after which she knelt on the ground, stating her husband was suffering from a stroke and she could not afford compensation.

While social media reports suggested the driver demanded 10 million VND in compensation, Mr. V. denied this, stating he made no demands for payment, filed no complaints, and did not coerce the woman. The collision resulted only in minor scratches and slight damage to the front left of the car. The two parties have since reached a voluntary civil settlement and have agreed to resolve the matter without further legal claims or complaints.
