NHAI expands digital local toll pass to 121 plazas

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has expanded its digital local pass facility to 121 toll plazas. Under this system, residents living within 20 km of an eligible toll plaza can apply for a monthly pass for non-commercial vehicles at a fixed cost of Rs 350.

The application process has been digitized via the Rajmargyatra app, eliminating the previous requirement for manual document submission at toll plazas. The system utilizes GIS technology to confirm residential proximity and integrates with government platforms, including DigiLocker and VAHAN, to automatically verify vehicle registration, address details, and FASTag information.
