Nhan Dan Newspaper launches Tan Da community art program in Hanoi
Nhan Dan Newspaper and BEAT Network have launched “Tan Da,” a new community art and music program held at 71 Hang Trong, Hanoi. The initiative aims to create a cultural and creative hub that connects Hanoi’s historical memories with modern artistic language to engage younger generations.
The inaugural episode, held on September 19, featured the “Ram Ro” campaign, focusing on the Mid-Autumn Festival theme. The event integrated traditional Vietnamese elements such as festival drums, lion dances, lanterns, and lion heads into a musical space overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake. Performers included various artists such as Dang Kim Thien Kim, Mac Mai Suong, Tuan Cry, Vo Thu Ha, and the group 502 Ocean.
The collaboration leverages Nhan Dan Newspaper’s national cultural prestige alongside BEAT Network’s expertise in social media and youth engagement. The program utilizes the newspaper’s headquarters in the Old Quarter as an open, accessible venue for the public to experience art for free.
