NHK drama Blossom: Protagonist Tamu faces rumors and a reunion

In the 16th episode of the NHK morning drama Blossom, the protagonist Tamu, played by Shizuka Ishibashi, struggles to find new employment following her dismissal as a teacher. Persistent rumors regarding an improper affair have hindered her ability to secure a new position, leaving the family's income dependent on Ryo's factory wages.

To assist, Ryo petitions the main Harano brewery to hire Tamu. While working at the brewery, Tamu encounters a familiar face: Tamotsu Kimura, played by Daichi Kaneko, who is the brother of her former husband.

The series is an original story inspired by the life of author Chiyo Uno, following Tamu's journey through the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras as she pursues a career as a novelist.
