NHK drama Kaze, Kaoru enters 20th week with one-year time jump

The NHK morning drama series "Kaze, Kaoru," starring Ai Mikami and Juri Uesaka, is entering its 20th week, titled "Family Form" (Kazoku no Katachi). The story transitions to a time jump of one year after the previous arc, which focused on managing a dysentery outbreak in a Niigata village.

In the upcoming episodes starting August 10, Rin (Mikami) returns from Niigata to reunite with her family before beginning her work at the Keifu Nursing Association. Meanwhile, Naomi (Uesaka) has been working hard to establish her mobile nursing services. The upcoming plotlines include an unexpected accident involving Naomi while she is at a dango shop with Ogawa (Shoma Kai), and emotional scenes featuring Shimaken (Akira Sano) weeping in the rain.

The drama is based on the lives of historical figures Nagomi Ozeki and Masami Suzuki during the Meiji era and features a theme song by Mrs. GREEN APPLE.
