NHK Morning Drama “Kaze, Kaoru” Shows Marriage Doubts and Graduation Plans in Episodes 56–58

Episode 56 of NHK’s morning drama “Kaze, Kaoru” follows An (played by Hayasaka Miumi) as she confronts a family meeting about her impending marriage to Sōichi. After the meeting she admits she is reconsidering the union, describing a feeling of “marriage blues” and questioning what life as a wife would truly mean for her. Her brother Makimura (Lin Yuta) objects, seeing the marriage as a duty rather than a personal choice, while other characters react to An’s inner conflict.
