NHK's 'Toyotomi Brothers' drama highlighted by Riko Yoshioka event in Nara and Taiga Nakano interview

On February 2, actress Riko Yoshioka attended a talk event in Nara for NHK’s historical drama “Toyotomi Brothers”. She spoke about her role as Kiyo, the wife of the series’ lead, recalled personal ties to Nara, and promoted the upcoming storyline in which her husband’s character moves toward national unification. The broadcast of episode 30 was postponed, and Yoshioka urged viewers to look forward to the next week’s episodes.

Lead actor Taiga Nakano, who portrays Hashiba Kiyoshi, discussed filming a scene with his father, actor Nakano, describing a “strange tension” and expressing gratitude for the experience. He highlighted a memorable snow‑melting scene with Yoshioka that deepened their characters’ relationship, and praised co‑star Masaki Suda’s performance as Takeda Hanbei.
