NHL injury news: Igor Shesterkin out for season, Chris Tanev injured

The NHL season has seen significant injury news involving key players. New York Rangers goaltender Igor Shesterkin is reportedly out for the season following a severe right leg injury sustained during a game against the Washington Capitals. The injury occurred when his skate jammed against the post, causing his leg to buckle at the knee.

In Toronto, the Maple Leafs secured a 6-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche. While the win featured strong performances from William Nylander and Auston Matthews, the team faces defensive concerns as Chris Tanev left the game with an upper-body injury. Additionally, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky recorded his first win with the Maple Leafs, making 30 saves during the contest.
