NHL Network releases annual rankings for top 20 centers

The NHL Network has released its annual ranking of the top 20 centers in the league. Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki rose to the ninth spot following a season in which he recorded 101 points in 82 games, won the Selke Trophy, and helped his team reach the Eastern Conference Final.

Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs was ranked eighth, ahead of Suzuki, despite a season where he recorded 53 points in 60 games. Other notable movements in the rankings include Macklin Celebrini of the San Jose Sharks, who climbed to third place behind Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon after a 115-point season. Leo Carlsson was positioned at 14th.
