NHL teams tease Hometown Remix specialty jerseys

The NHL is introducing a new specialty jersey program called Hometown Remix, designed to celebrate the unique local culture and fans of each participating team. The initiative, managed by official supplier Fanatics, follows previous specialty programs like the NBA’s City Edition and MLB’s City Connect uniforms.

Several teams have begun releasing teasers and ciphers regarding their upcoming designs. The Washington Capitals have hinted at a powder-blue aesthetic inspired by their 1995–2000 Screaming Eagle sweaters, potentially featuring marble textures and cherry blossom tributes. Other teams, such as the Edmonton Oilers and Nashville Predators, have provided clues through practice gear, including black pants and navy helmets.

Specific debut dates have been identified for several clubs. The Buffalo Sabres are expected to wear their new look on November 4 against the Ottawa Senators, followed by the New York Islanders on November 5. The St. Louis Blues and Winnipeg Jets are scheduled to debut their jerseys on November 17.
