NHL Trade Rumors: Dylan Larkin and Alexander Nikishin

Speculation continues regarding Detroit Red Wings center Dylan Larkin's potential trade. Reports suggest Detroit has been actively scouting teams such as Montreal and New Jersey. While the team seeks a younger center in return, discussions may conclude within the next few weeks. Larkin has reportedly expressed a desire to be traded and has provided a list of ten preferred destinations.

Separately, Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Alexander Nikishin remains a subject of trade interest, though current offers are reportedly substandard compared to those received during the summer. Nikishin is seeking a multi-year extension valued at approximately $9 million per season, which complicates potential trades due to limited cap space among contending teams. If a trade is not reached, Carolina has indicated an openness to re-signing the restricted free agent to a one-year deal to allow him to play this season.
