Nhon - Hanoi metro line completes tunnel boring with TBMs

The Nhon - Hanoi metro line has reached a significant milestone with the completion of tunnel boring by two Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM). The underground tunnel section is currently approximately 94.66% complete.

The Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) is implementing a parallel construction strategy to accelerate progress. Instead of waiting for all civil works to finish, various packages are being executed in overlapping phases to allow system installation and electrical/mechanical (MEP) works to begin sooner. This approach aims to shorten the overall project timeline, with a goal of full completion by 2027.

Specific progress for Package CP03 includes the underground ramp at 96.23%, station S12 at 76.66%, station S10 at 73.41%, and station S11 at 70.85%. The elevated section of the line, spanning 8.5 km with 8 stations, has been in commercial operation since August 8, 2024.
