NHRA U.S. Nationals to feature racing legends in 75th anniversary celebration

The 72nd annual Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals is scheduled to take place at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park from September 2–7. As part of the NHRA’s 75th anniversary season, the event will feature a large gathering of racing legends.

Iconic figures expected to attend include Don Garlits, Don Prudhomme, Kenny Bernstein, Joe Amato, Shirley Muldowney, Larry Dixon, John Force, and Linda Vaughn, among others. These athletes will participate in celebrations marking the sport's history during the marquee weekend, often referred to as ‘The Big Go’.

In related racing news, Ron Capps recently reached the quarterfinals at Brainerd, and Antron Brown has clinched an NHRA Countdown berth. Additionally, the community is mourning the death of Christopher ‘Block’ Gordon, a racer featured on Discovery’s Street Outlaws, following a crash at an Ohio drag strip.
