Niš hosts Small Sports Fair with 50 local clubs

The ‘Mali sajam sporta’ (Small Sports Fair) was held at the ‘Dušan Radović’ Primary School in Niš, featuring approximately 50 local sports clubs. The event, organized by the Sports Association of Serbia and the Ministry of Sports, aims to introduce children to various disciplines including gymnastics, athletics, football, basketball, and martial arts to encourage healthy development and lifelong habits.

Niš Mayor Dragoslav Pavlović noted that around 2,500 children participated in free sports schools this summer. He also highlighted ongoing investments in local sports infrastructure, including the construction and renovation of football pitches and concrete courts in various schools.

Olympic champion and President of the Sports Association of Serbia, Davor Štefanek, emphasized that the initiative focuses on making sports accessible to children without the immediate pressure of achieving medals or professional results.
