Niš maternity ward receives new equipment amid rising birth rates

The number of births in Niš, Serbia, has increased compared to the previous year. From the beginning of the year until August 1, a total of 1,882 babies were born, representing 65 more births than during the same period last year.

To improve conditions for new mothers, Dr. Milan Lazarević, Director of UKC Niš, visited the local maternity ward to donate 300 sets of bedding and 300 nightgowns. These improvements are intended to provide more comfort and dignity for mothers during their stay while the city prepares for the construction of a new, modern maternity hospital.
