Niamh Flatley funeral details announced following passing

Funeral details have been announced for Niamh Flatley, the wife of Irish dance performer Michael Flatley. Niamh passed away peacefully on October 5 at the Beacon Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Niamh, originally from Co Meath, will lie in repose in Ashbourne on Friday, October 9, with a funeral mass scheduled for Saturday, October 10, at the Church of St. Thérèse in Mount Merrion, Dublin. A private family burial will follow the service.

Michael Flatley, the performer credited with bringing Irish dance to the mainstream through productions like ‘Riverdance’, expressed his grief on social media, describing Niamh as his ‘beautiful wife’ and ‘best friend’. The couple met in 1993 while working on the original Riverdance production and married in 2006. They have one son, Michael St. James.
