NIBIRU receives Hospitality Culture Institute Excellence Award

NIBIRU, an entertainment resort located on the Romanian coast, has been honored with the Excellence Award from the Hospitality Culture Institute at the Romanian Hospitality Awards 2026 gala held at the National Opera Bucharest.

Unlike other awards at the gala which are decided by a jury of over 150 industry professionals, the Excellence Award is uniquely granted directly by the Hospitality Culture Institute to recognize initiatives that create a significant impact on Romania's hospitality culture.

Co-founder and CEO Andrei Șelaru (Selly) stated that the award recognizes the ambition to make the Romanian coast a modern and internationally competitive destination. The project, which involved an initial investment of over 50 million euros, functions as an ecosystem integrating retail, gastronomy, festivals, and immersive zones to extend the local tourism economy through evening and nighttime programming.
