Chapecó International Autodrome hosts inaugural motorsport events

The Márcio Vaccaro International Autodrome in Chapecó, Santa Catarina, has commenced its inaugural operational weekend, hosting several major motorsport competitions including Copa Truck, NASCAR Brasil, Copa Hyundai HB20, and Old Stock Race. The event marks the debut of the 4,004-meter circuit on the national motorsport calendar.

In the Copa Truck series, practice sessions saw varied leaders across different classes. In the Super Truck PRO category, Leandro Totti recorded the fastest time during the third free practice session, while Nic Giaffone led the Super Truck ELITE class. In the NASCAR Brasil category, Arthur Gama of Cavaleiro Sports secured the top position during the final practice sessions.

Additionally, the Federal Police is participating in the event to showcase a special Porsche 911 Turbo patrol vehicle. The vehicle, valued at over R$ 1.5 million, was seized during Operation Toppare, which investigated money laundering and international drug trafficking, and has been repurposed for public service following judicial authorization.
