Nicaragua issues diplomatic greetings to Mali and Russia

Nicaraguan leaders Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo have issued official communications regarding international diplomatic relations with Mali and Russia.

In a message to Malian President Assimi Goïta, the Nicaraguan government congratulated Mali on its 66th anniversary of independence. The communication praised the Malian people’s determination to defend their sovereignty and expressed a desire to strengthen bilateral ties of cooperation and solidarity.

Separately, a Nicaraguan delegation led by Ambassador Alba Azucena Torres participated as international observers in the elections for the Russian State Duma. Following the elections, Ortega and Murillo congratulated Viacheslav Volodin, President of the State Duma, on the victory of the United Russia party. The Nicaraguan leadership also extended congratulations to President Vladimir Putin, reaffirming support for a multipolar world.
