Nicaragua launches INNOVA 2026 National Innovation Rally

The fourth edition of the Nicaragua National Innovation Rally, INNOVA 2026, has launched as a 24-hour marathon dedicated to developing creative solutions for national challenges. The event, which began at the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) in Managua, involves more than 5,000 participants, including students, mentors, and coordinators.

Participants are working on various challenges related to technology, social innovation, and organizational models. This year's edition features a record level of participation, drawing from 91 to 113 different training centers, including public and private universities, technological centers from Inatec, and high school students from the Ministry of Education (MINED).

Teams are required to develop innovative proposals, create summary videos, and prepare budgets to present their findings after the 24-hour period. The initiative is part of the national education strategy aimed at fostering technical professionals with a focus on social and productive development.
