Nicaragua to commemorate 50th anniversary of Carlos Fonseca Amador
Nicaraguan Vice President Rosario Murillo has announced preparations for the 50th anniversary of the death of Carlos Fonseca Amador. The commemoration is scheduled for November 8, intended to honor his legacy and renew commitments to fighting poverty and maintaining national peace.
As part of the tributes, workers from ENATREL are preparing a metal sculpture of Fonseca Amador. The monument is intended to be placed in his hometown at an elevation that allows it to be visible across the city, near the park named in his honor.
In related remarks, Murillo highlighted the country's ongoing cultural and religious activities, noting that approximately 100,000 events involving art, faith, and tradition are being held nationwide to promote national identity and community stability.
