Nicaragua to inaugurate 16km highway in Estelí

The Nicaraguan government, through the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure (MTI), is set to inaugurate the 16-kilometer San Nicolás – La Estanzuela – Estelí highway on Wednesday, October 14.

The new road is expected to benefit approximately 19,000 people by improving mobility, commerce, and connectivity between communities. Key objectives of the project include strengthening local tourism by providing better access to natural attractions and local businesses, as well as supporting the agricultural sector by facilitating the transport of goods to markets.

Vice President Rosario Murillo stated that the infrastructure project aims to improve road communication between communities and enhance the quality of life for local producers and families by dynamizing the regional economy.
