Nicaragua weather: Tropical wave 40 to bring rains to Caribbean and central regions

The Nicaraguan Institute of Territorial Studies (INETER) has announced that tropical wave 40 and low-pressure systems will bring a week of varied weather across Nicaragua.

Rainfall is expected to be most significant in the North Caribbean Coast, South Caribbean Coast, and the central region of the country. These rains may range from weak to moderate, with occasional strong localized downpours. In contrast, the Pacific region, particularly in León and Chinandega, is expected to experience lighter drizzles and showers.

Temperatures are projected to remain high in the western region, ranging between 34 and 36 degrees Celsius, while the rest of the Pacific will see between 32 and 34 degrees. The North, Central, and Caribbean regions are expected to be slightly cooler, with temperatures between 28 and 32 degrees. Maritime conditions are expected to remain stable with waves between 0.5 and 1.5 meters, though authorities have advised caution for small vessels due to potential visibility issues caused by rain.
