Nicaraguan universities host student scholarship awards and cultural events

Various university-led initiatives and celebrations have taken place across Nicaragua. In Carazo, students at the Centro Universitario Regional (CUR) Carazo received their third installment of university scholarships. The program, supported by Juventud Sandinista and the National Union of Students of Nicaragua (UNEN), aims to provide economic assistance to ensure students can continue their higher education.

In Bluefields, the URACCAN Bluefields campus hosted the Green Universities Evaluation Commission. The visit highlighted student-led environmental projects, including medicinal gardens, nurseries, and reforestation efforts, aimed at promoting sustainability and integrating scientific knowledge with ancestral wisdom.

Additionally, the URACCAN Bilwi campus held a float festival in Bilwi to celebrate the institution's anniversary and Regional Multiethnic Autonomy. The event featured seven colorful floats representing various academic areas, organized by the UNEN student movement, as part of a competition to crown the university's King and Queen.
