Nicaragua rolls out 90,000 cultural events and new cacao clones as government touts national unity

Vice President Rosario Murillo announced that nearly 90,000 cultural, religious, sporting and recreational activities will take place across all Nicaraguan municipalities over the weekend, including festivals, family‑economy fairs, gastronomy events, indigenous celebrations and sports competitions.

The Ministry of Agriculture presented genetically improved cacao clones resistant to monilia to producers in Jinotega, offering training on manual pollination and promising higher yields and better grain quality for small‑holder farms.

In a separate address, Murillo emphasized national unity, sovereignty and development, invoking historic figures and pledging continued progress and peace for the Nicaraguan people.
