Niccolò Perico wins FIA Karting World Championship

Niccolò Perico has become the FIA Karting World Champion in the OK-N Junior category. Competing at the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo, the Italian driver dominated the event by winning all heats, including the Super Heat and the final race.

Perico is a member of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Junior Programme, a development path previously utilized by Kimi Antonelli. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has expressed confidence in the young driver's potential, noting his talent and the importance of allowing him to grow without excessive pressure.

Perico's recent achievements include multiple titles such as the ACI Karting Mini U10 championship and victories in the ROK Cup Superfinal and Champions of the Future Academy Trophy. His performance in the WSK Super Master Series further solidified his standing within the Mercedes junior development structure.
