Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB begins with record participation

The fifth edition of the Nice Côte d’Azur by UTMB is set to take place in the Alpes-Maritimes from Friday to Sunday. This year’s event expects a record-breaking turnout of over 7,500 runners, including professionals and amateurs traveling from countries such as Germany, England, Italy, and Portugal.

The competition features five different race distances. The flagship 100-mile (168 km) race begins in Auron, requiring participants to navigate 9,000 meters of positive elevation gain through the Mercantour before finishing on the Promenade des Anglais. Other scheduled races include a 100-kilometer run from Roubion, two 50-kilometer races starting from Levens and Col d’Eze, and a 20-kilometer race between Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Nice.
