Nice roadworks on Boulevard de Cessole to disrupt traffic

Road resurfacing work on Boulevard de Cessole in Nice has commenced, affecting the section between Avenue Cyrnos and Chemin de la Maion Grossa. The project, costing approximately 650,000 euros, is scheduled to last five weeks with an estimated completion date of November 17, 2026, depending on weather conditions.

The construction is organized into four distinct phases. Initial work on gutters on the west side is scheduled from October 12 to October 16. From October 19 to October 30, resurfacing will focus on the east half of the roadway, during which time the boulevard will be restricted to one-way uphill traffic 24 hours a day. A subsequent phase from November 2 to November 13 will focus on the west half of the roadway, also maintaining one-way traffic.

Local authorities state the project aims to improve road surface quality, enhance driving comfort, and reduce noise pollution for nearby residents. Motorists are advised to use detours via Avenue Cyrille Besset and Boulevard Auguste Ra during the work periods.
