Nicholas Bennett wins two silver medals at Para Pan Pacific Championships

Canadian swimmer Nicholas Bennett earned two silver medals at the 2026 Para Pan Pacific Championships in Walnut, California. Bennett secured second place in the S14 men’s 200-metre individual medley with a time of 2:07.63, narrowly trailing Brazil’s Gabriel Bandeira. He also took silver in the men’s multi-class 200 freestyle with a time of 1:55.44.

In addition to his silver medals, Bennett finished fourth in the men’s multi-class 100 breaststroke SB4-6. The event served as a developmental step for athletes preparing for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games. Team Canada concluded the three-day competition with a total of nine medals, including two gold, four silver, and three bronze, while setting one Americas record and three Canadian records.
