Nicholas Brooks: Tributes paid to North Wales man after cancer battle
Tributes have been paid to Nicholas Brooks, a resident of Coedpoeth, North Wales, who passed away at age 47 following a brief battle with aggressive cancer. Known affectionately as ‘Brooksey’, he died at home surrounded by his family.
Following his recent diagnosis, Brooks and his long-term partner, Joanne, obtained a special license from the Archbishop to marry in their home garden. His wife described the ceremony as “emotional, but perfect.”
Brooks was a well-known figure in the local community, having worked on various farms in the Coedpoeth, Minera, and Wrexham areas since the age of nine. He later operated his own agricultural fencing business, specializing in difficult terrain. He was also known for selling mistletoe at Christmas markets and chopped logs.
