Nicholas Mickelson makes Bundesliga debut in Elversberg comeback win

Thai international footballer Nicholas Mickelson has made history by becoming the first Thai player to compete in the German Bundesliga in 47 years. Mickelson entered the match as a substitute in the 75th minute for Eintracht Elversberg during their away game against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Elversberg managed a dramatic comeback, overturning a 1-3 deficit to secure a 4-3 victory with a winning goal scored in stoppage time. This result places Elversberg in the upper reaches of the league standings with six points from two matches. Mickelson is only the second Thai player to play in the German top flight, following Witthaya Laohakul, who played for Hertha Berlin in 1979.
