Nicholas Pescod to join Yukon government after Ladysmith tenure

Nicholas Pescod, the communications and engagement specialist for the Town of Ladysmith, is departing his role to join the Yukon government. He will serve as a senior communications advisor for the Yukon Housing Corporation.

Pescod, who joined the municipality in May 2024, cited family reasons for the move, noting that his wife resides in Whitehorse. During his two-year tenure in Ladysmith, Pescod worked to update the town’s communications policy, develop a social media strategy, and overhaul branding elements. He focused on transitioning the town’s social media presence from a reactive model to a more proactive and creative approach.
