Nick Bosa returns to 49ers practice ahead of season opener

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa has returned to practice after missing four weeks due to tendinitis in his surgically repaired right knee. Bosa participated in individual drills and team sessions on Wednesday, expressing confidence that he will be ready for the season opener against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia.

While Bosa is expected to travel with the team to Australia, concerns remain regarding the long-term management of his knee. The injury stems from his recovery following a reconstructed ACL. Team officials Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch stated that Bosa is being monitored closely, noting that he recently experienced soreness when increasing activity levels.

Some analysts suggest the 49ers should prepare for the possibility of Bosa’s knee issues lingering throughout the season, as tendinitis can be unpredictable. The team is also managing the health of tight end George Kittle, who is also traveling to Australia following an Achilles tendon injury.
