Nick Cannon transitions ‘Wild ’N Out’ to nationwide touring format
Nick Cannon is transitioning the long-running comedy and hip-hop series ‘Wild ’N Out’ from a traditional studio setting to a nationwide touring format. Under the new ‘On the Road’ concept, the production will film episodes during live performances in various major U.S. cities rather than at a central studio.
Producers are considering several locations for the tour, including Miami, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Memphis, and New York. The format aims to incorporate the energy of live crowds, featuring improv games, roast battles, and musical performances. To enhance local engagement, the production plans to hold casting calls in each city, offering local talent and celebrities the chance to participate in the live shows.
The concept was recently showcased at the Netflix Is a Joke Fest in Los Angeles. While the tour expands the franchise's reach, it remains unclear whether the upcoming season will air on traditional cable television or transition to a streaming platform.
