Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds attend The Cure at Way Out West

At the Way Out West festival in Gothenburg, Sweden, members of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds were seen enjoying a performance by The Cure. Warren Ellis, a multi-instrumentalist for The Bad Seeds, expressed his long-standing admiration for the band, noting he first saw them live in 1984 and expressed a desire to see them “again and again and again.”

Nick Cave has also previously shared his personal connection to The Cure through his blog, The Red Hand Files. He recently recounted an anecdote involving an elderly couple wearing The Cure T-shirts who struggled with smartphone technology while requesting a selfie, a moment Cave reflected upon in relation to the aging process.

While The Cure recently released their first studio album in 16 years, Songs Of A Lost World, The Bad Seeds continue their own momentum following a record-breaking performance in Brighton. The band is scheduled to perform next at the Flow Festival in Helsinki.
