Nick Emmanwori returns to Seahawks lineup following ankle surgery

Seattle Seahawks defensive back Nick Emmanwori is progressing through a recovery process following ankle surgery performed during the offseason. The decision to undergo the procedure before the regular season was made to avoid a potential mid-season absence that could have sidelined him until Week 9.

Emmanwori missed training camp due to the surgery but has recently begun reintegrating into the lineup. After missing the season opener, he appeared in limited snaps during Week 2 and earned a start in Week 3, playing in over 52 percent of the team's defensive snaps.

Head coach Mike Macdonald praised Emmanwori’s performance and mental approach, noting the player's versatility across three different position groups. The coaching staff is managing his workload weekly to ensure he returns to full strength in the coming weeks.
