Nick Jonas reveals failed audition for Disney's Frozen

Nick Jonas recently shared details regarding a failed audition for the role of Kristoff in the 2013 Disney animated film “Frozen”. Speaking on the “Hey Jonas!” podcast alongside his brothers, Jonas described the experience as a “disaster” that occurred approximately 13 years ago.

During the audition, Jonas was asked which song he intended to perform and if he had brought sheet music. He stated that he was unprepared, telling officials, “Oh, I don’t know,” and noted that no one had informed him to bring music. He ultimately asked if they could play a random musical theater song, which he described as a terrible experience.

The role of Kristoff was eventually awarded to Broadway actor Jonathan Groff. The podcast episode featured the original voices of Anna, Elsa, and Olaf—Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Josh Gad—who joked about the incident. Gad even suggested that Jonas might have had a better connection with Bell than Groff did.
