Nick Kosir blends hip-hop and meteorology as the Dancing Weatherman

Meteorologist and FOX Weather co-host Nick Kosir, known online as the ‘Dancing Weatherman,’ has gained over 10 million social media followers by blending weather forecasting with hip-hop culture and comedy.

A Cleveland native and former radio DJ, Kosir first gained attention as ‘The Rapping Weatherman’ in 2008 while working in Texas. His viral popularity surged in 2019 following a dance video, leading him to incorporate hip-hop references from artists like Drake and Cardi B into his content. Kosir, a Webby Award winner and the Academy of Cinema and Entertainment 2025 Influencer of the Year, views hip-hop as a primary driver of global trends in fashion and self-expression.
