Nick Pelletier and Bradley Kraut finish 112‑km Okanagan Lake kayak

Endurance athlete Nick Pelletier of Kelowna and U.S. fitness influencer Bradley Kraut launched from the north end of Okanagan Lake near Vernon and paddled the full 112 kilometre length of the lake. After a delayed start caused by mechanical problems with their support boat, the duo reached Penticton just before midnight on Tuesday, completing the crossing in about 34 hours. The pair had hoped to finish in under 24 hours, but praised the achievement as a major milestone.

Kraut, a Pennsylvania‑born Twitch streamer, was kayaking for the first time, while Pelletier, who previously solo‑kayaked the lake in 2022 and swam its full 113‑kilometre span in 2023, provided local expertise. Their collaboration stemmed from meeting while training in Los Angeles, and both highlighted the personal significance of pushing their limits across the lake that Pelletier calls home.
