Nick Reiner indicted in murders of parents Rob and Michele Reiner

Nick Reiner, 32, has been formally indicted on two counts of first-degree murder following the December 2025 deaths of his parents, filmmaker Rob Reiner and producer Michele Singer Reiner. The victims were found killed inside their Brentwood mansion.

New details reveal that Nick Reiner’s siblings, Jake and Romy Reiner, testified before a Los Angeles County grand jury, providing evidence that contributed to the indictment. The unsealed indictment includes an additional allegation that Reiner was “lying in wait” and used a dangerous and deadly weapon, special circumstances that could make him eligible for the death penalty or life in prison without parole.

Nick Reiner, who was living in a guesthouse on the family property at the time of the incident, has pleaded not guilty and denies the accusations. He has been held without bail at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility since his arrest near the University of Southern California campus shortly after the discovery of the bodies.
