Nick Saban discusses hockey and coaching philosophy

During an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay in Salt Lake City, former Alabama football coach Nick Saban identified ice hockey as his favorite Olympic sport. Saban cited his interest in the game's team-oriented nature and his connection to the sport through his minority ownership stake in the NHL’s Nashville Predators.

Separately, a new ESPN series titled ‘Saban’ examines the former coach’s career and his emphasis on ‘the process.’ The series explores how Saban transitioned from a focus on immediate game outcomes to a philosophy centered on discipline, execution, and attention to detail as the necessary precursors to success.
