Nick Saban discusses LSU as a College Football Playoff sleeper

During an appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay, former coach Nick Saban identified the LSU Tigers as his sleeper pick for the College Football Playoff. Saban noted the team’s offensive performance, highlighting that they are averaging over 40 points per game while allowing approximately 16 points.

LSU currently holds a 6-2 overall record and is 3-2 in the SEC. The Tigers are coming off a 38-17 victory against Auburn and are preparing for a significant matchup against Alabama. Saban also named Notre Dame as a top contender for the national championship.

In a separate segment of the broadcast, Pat McAfee offered an on-air apology to Saban for wearing the same color as the coach during the show. The interaction occurred as the crew celebrated Saban’s 75th birthday.
