Nick Sirianni expresses remorse after sideline outburst during Eagles loss

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni expressed remorse following an on-camera outburst during a Week 3 matchup against the Chicago Bears. The incident occurred after Bears linebacker D’Marco Jackson delivered a hard hit on quarterback Jalen Hurts near the sideline, forcing Hurts to enter concussion protocol.

During the game, cameras captured Sirianni shouting an obscenity at Jackson. Following the Eagles' 27-7 loss, Sirianni acknowledged that the heat of the moment got the better of him, stating, “I shouldn’t have let my emotions get the best of me.” He noted that while he was frustrated by the hit on his quarterback, he understands that players are competing to make plays.

Media commentary following the game has criticized Sirianni’s coaching performance and sideline conduct, specifically questioning his composure during high-pressure moments in the loss.
