Nick Woltemade poised for loan departure from Newcastle as Liverpool shows interest

Newcastle United have informed 24‑year‑old German striker Nick Woltemade that he may seek a new club on a loan deal. The club, which signed the forward on a long‑term contract running to 2031 for a reported €75 million, has indicated that he is surplus to the tactical plans of manager Eddie Howe, who prefers a strike partnership of Yoane Wissa and William Osula for the upcoming season.

Woltemade, who has made 51 appearances and scored 11 goals for the Magpies, has attracted interest from several Premier League sides. Liverpool have expressed serious intent to acquire him on loan, while Manchester United and West Ham have also been mentioned as potential suitors. The decision on his future is expected in the coming days as the summer transfer window draws to a close.
