Nickelback releases new single “Leave Me Behind” ahead of upcoming album

Canadian rock band Nickelback has released “Leave Me Behind,” the third single from their upcoming eleventh studio album, “Everything Under The Sun.” The album is scheduled for release on October 30 through Virgin Music Group.

Frontman Chad Kroeger described the new track as a song containing both “weight” and “hope,” focusing on themes of loyalty and supporting others through personal hardship. The single follows previous releases “Rattle the Cage” and “Bones for the Crows,” showcasing the diverse musical styles intended for the new record, which ranges from heavy rock to more melodic and experimental sounds.

The upcoming album marks the band’s first studio release since 2022’s “Get Rollin’” and their first under Virgin Music Group. The band members contributing to the project include Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger, and Daniel Adair. Nickelback, who were inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2024, have sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide.
