Nicki Minaj faces legal disputes involving production costs and former manager

Nicki Minaj is currently navigating multiple legal challenges. In one matter, her attorneys at Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever have requested to withdraw from a $275,149 production dispute involving Pink Friday Productions LLC and 24/7 Productions. The firm cited irreconcilable differences and a breakdown in communication, stating that continued representation is no longer feasible. The lawsuit, which stems from December 2023 Jingle Ball shows, includes allegations regarding excessive hotel expenses, such as a $103,730 bill at The Langham New York.

Separately, Minaj is involved in a lawsuit filed by former manager Brandon Jovan Garrett. Garrett has sought a court order to compel answers and impose a nearly $4,000 fine, alleging Minaj failed to comply with discovery rules. The underlying complaint accuses the rapper of assault, battery, and emotional distress following a concert in Detroit in April 2024. Minaj’s legal team has argued that the motions for sanctions are moot, claiming they have already provided substantive responses to the discovery requests.
