Nicko McBrain highlights Steve Harris’s best Iron Maiden songs

Long‑time Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain discussed his favourite Steve Harris‑written tracks at a fan event called “An Evening With Capn Harris” held at his Rock n Roll Ribs restaurant in Florida. During the segment he selected three songs he considers the best of Harris’s writing, praising the 11‑minute closing piece “When the Wild Wind Blows” from the 2010 album The Final Frontier as a “stunning piece of music” and ranking it alongside “Hallowed Be Thy Name” and “The Red and the Black”.

McBrain also ranked all seventeen Iron Maiden studio albums, placing the band’s self‑titled debut at the bottom of his list. He joked that the restaurant’s beans are named after “When the Wild Wind Blows”.
