Nicko McBrain reveals Ozzy Osbourne saved his life

Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain revealed in an interview with Metal Hammer that Ozzy Osbourne once saved his life. McBrain stated that he had no memory of the incident at the time it occurred.

According to McBrain, the event took place on a boat crossing the English Channel. While McBrain recalled only that the crossing was very rough, Osbourne later reminded him of the encounter. Osbourne reportedly told him, “Do you remember when I saved your life?”, explaining that McBrain was stumbling toward the railing and was caught by Osbourne before falling overboard.

McBrain is set to release his autobiography, titled “Hello Boys And Girls!”, on October 22. Following his departure from touring with Iron Maiden in 2024, he has continued to perform occasionally with the band Titanium Tart and has scheduled fan meetings to discuss his career and life stories.
